Agent Standup shows which Claude Code sub-agents are blocked, stuck or costly

A community VS Code extension and CLI reads Claude Code's session files to show live agent status, stuck commands and per-agent token counts.

Agent Standup, a community project shared on X by @bibryam, turns the session files Claude Code already writes into a live view of every session and sub-agent. If you run several sessions with sub-agents, it is a quick way to see who is working, who is waiting on you and which sub-agent is using the most tokens. According to the README, it only reads local files and calls Claude only if you turn on French translation or the jokes.

The README lists these practical features:

The animated characters, voices and video export are optional. The repo says you can try the built-in demo with npx @double_geste/agent-standup --open on Node 18+. It is unofficial and not affiliated with Anthropic.

The evidence is thin. We found no independent testing, the maintenance record is unknown, and nobody has checked its token counts against Claude Code's /usage. Because it reports cache reads separately, its main figure is calculated differently from /usage's totals. If you need usage history rather than a live view, ccusage reads local logs by day or session. For tracking across several machines, Claude Code's native OpenTelemetry export is the official route.
