Apple opens Siri AI to all developers in iOS 27.3 beta Developer Preview
Apple's iOS 27.3 betas add a Developer Preview that lets any app expose custom App Intents actions and multi-step skills to Siri AI.
Apple has opened Siri AI to every developer. A Developer Preview in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 27.3 betas lets any app bring its content and custom actions into Siri AI through App Intents, according to Apple's developer news post (Nov 3, 2026). If you already ship App Intents, this is the path from Apple-defined categories to your own actions, such as checking a delivery, booking a reservation or placing an order. Previously Siri AI was limited to a much smaller set of supported schemas, 9To5Mac reports.
Apple is also adding skills, which teach Siri AI to combine several actions into one request. Siri AI can now surface any entity in the Spotlight semantic index, not only those that fit an existing schema. According to The Next Web (TNW), citing The Verge's reading of Apple's documentation, users won't always need to name the app, for example when it is on screen or showing a Live Activity.
Apple calls this an early Developer Preview and a "sneak peek", not a shipping feature. It says integrations reach customers in a few months and App Store submissions open in the spring. For now, per Macworld, you can test in Xcode or internal TestFlight, but not with external TestFlight users.
Plan for limits. Apple says Siri AI is unavailable in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, is not available to users under 13, and is subject to daily usage limits, with expanded access "available for a fee in the future." Apple says terms and usage policies will follow. Whether existing App Intents code works unchanged is not yet clear, and no independent hands-on developer reports have surfaced yet.
